PageMaker 7.0
Adobe PageMaker is an application software programs, which program related with
Graphic Design package and developed by Adobe Corporation, USA. It provides us
to draw Identity card, visiting card, News paper format, News paper add, book
cover page and other document format as your requirement.
- Adobe PageMaker default name accept (.pmd)
How to open
the Adobe PageMaker programs ?
- Click on start menu
- Click on programs
- Click on Adobe
- Choose the PageMaker 7.0
- Again, Choose the PageMaker 7.0 of list
Open the PageMaker from RUN command
- Click on start menu
- Click on RUN
- RUN dialog box will appear
- Type the pm70 in text box
- Finally click on ok button
Toolbox :- To show or hide the toolbox from windows.
- Click on windows menu
- Click on show tools
Color box :- It is used to change the font, line and fill the color according to you select color.
To
show or hide the colorbox
- Click on windows menu
- Click on show color

] Arrow tool:- This tool is used to
select, move and resize the drawing object according to drag mouse.

] Type tool:- This tool is used to type
the text at pointed area according to choose font and font size.

] Rotate tool:- This tool is used to
freely rotate the text or object at required angle by dragging mouse.

] Crop tool:- This tool is used to crop
the only ready made image according to drag mouse.

] Line tool:- This tool is used to draw
the vertically or horizontally line in page area according to drag mouse.

] Rule tool:- This tool also used to
draw the vertically or horizontally line in page area according to drag mouse.
[ ] Rectangular tool:-
This tool is used to draw the rectangular shape and also draw the rounded
corner style rectangular shape in page area.
Steps,
- Double click the mouse with select rectangular tool
- Rounded corner windows will appear
- Choose the corner style of rectangular dialog box
- Click on ok button
- Finally drag the mouse in page area
* [ ] Oval tool:- This tool is used to draw the circle shape in page area.
[ ] Polygon tool:- This tool is used to draw the polygon or star shape in page area.
To
draw star shape
- Double click the mouse with select polygon tool
- Define the star and inset value
- Finally drag the mouse in page area
* [ ] Hand tool:- this tool is used to scrolling the page at required position by dragging mouse.

decreasing the zoom size of page according to click mouse.
- At first choose the zoom tool
- Click the mouse in page area
Color box :- To show or hide the color box from windows which is used to change the font, stroke and fill color which color choose as your requirement.

- Click on windows menu
- Click on show color
Control palette :- This palette is used to change the font, size, style, line spacing, character spacing and other text effects of page contents.
To
show or hide the control palette
- Click on windows menu
- Click on show control palette
Place :- It is used to insert the photo in page from any location.
- Click on file menu
- Click on place
- Place windows will appear
- Choose the photo from any location
- Click on open button
- Finally drag the mouse in page area where you display photo
Stroke :- It is used to change the stroke size of drawing object which stroke size and style choose as your requirement.
- At first choose the drawing object
- Click on element menu
- Click on stroke
- Choose the stroke size and style of list
Fill :- It is used to fill the color style inside the drawing object which style choose as your requirement.
- At first choose the drawing object
- Click on element menu
- Click on fill
- Choose the fill style of list
Fill and
stroke:-
It is used to change the fill and stroke color, stroke size and tint at a time
according to you choose.
At first choose the drawing object
- Click on element menu
- Click on fill and stroke
- Fill and stroke dialog box will appear
- Choose the fill and stroke color, size, tint as your requirement
- Finally click on ok button
Arrange :- It is used to insert the selected text or object front or back according to you choose.
- At first choose the text or object which you insert front or back
- Click on element menu
- Click on arrange
- Choose the front or back of list
Group :- It is used to make the group of selected text or object of page according to you select.
- At first select the text or object
- Click on element menu
- Click on Group
To
ungroup
At first select the grouping text or object
- Click on element menu
- Click on Ungroup
Lock :- It is used to lock the selected text or object which text or object does not move and delete.
- At first choose the text or object
- Click on element menu
- Click on lock position
To
unlock
- At first choose the lock text or object
- Click on element menu
- Click on unlock
Mask :- It is used to put the photo inside the drawing object of page.
- At first draw the object and insert photo
- After that, select both object and photo
- Click on element menu
- Click on mask

- At first choose the mask object
- Click on element menu
- Click on Unmask
Rounded corner :- It is used to change the corner style of drawing rectangular.
- At first choose the drawing rectangular
- Click on element menu
- Click on Rounded corner
- Rounded corner windows will appear
- Choose the corner style of box
- Finally click on ok button
Polygon settings :- It is used to set the drawing polygon for make star shape.
- At first choose the drawing polygon
- Click on element menu
- Click on Polygon setting
- Polygon setting windows will appear
- Define the star and inset value of box
- Finally click on ok button
Attach to contents:- It is used to attach the text inside the drawing object.
- At first select the text and object at a time
- Click on Element menu
- Click on Frame
- Click on Attach to contents
Insert page :- It is used to insert the more then one blank page according to you define number.
- Click on layout menu
- Click on insert page
- Insert page windows will appear
- Input the number of page value in textbox
- Finally click on ok button
Sort page :- It is used to arrange the page at required position by dragging mouse.
- When you insert more page
- Click on layout menu
- Click on sort page
- Sort page windows will appear with page number
- Arrange the page by dragging mouse at required position
- Finally click on ok button
Remove page:- It is used to remove the more then one page at a time according to define number.
- Click on layout menu
- Click on remove page
- Remove page windows will appear
- Input the number of page value in textbox
- Finally click on ok button
Column guides :- It is used to insert the number of column guide line in active page where you insert according to define number for news paper format designing.
- Click on layout menu
- Click on column guides
- Column guides windows will appear
- Input the number of page value in textbox
- Finally click on ok button
Insert object:- It is used to insert the object in page from another application programs such as Ms paint, Ms word, Photoshop etc.
- Click on edit menu
- Click on insert object
- Insert object windows will appear
- Choose the object or program name of box
- Click on ok button
- Choose program will appear
- Insert any object at pointed area
- Finally click on [x] close button
Paste multiple :- It is used to paste the copied text multiple time which paste time define as your requirement.
- When you copy text or object
- Click on edit menu
- Click on paste multiple
- Paste multiple windows will appear
- Input the number of value in textbox
- Finally click on ok button
Recent publication:- It is used to open the recent saving file from a list which you choose or select.
- Click on file menu
- Click on Recent publication
- Choose the file name of list
Revert :- It is used to open the saving or blank page area.
- Click on file menu
- Click on revert
Font :- It is used to change the font of page contents.
- At first select the page contents
- Click on type menu
- Click on font
- Choose the font of list
Size:- It is used to change the font size of page contents.
- At first select the page contents
- Click on type menu
- Click on size
- Choose the font size of page contents
Leading :- It is used to change the line spacing of page contents.
- At first select the page contents
- Click on type menu
- Click on leading
- Choose the spacing value of list
Horizontal scale :- It is used to change the character spacing of page contents.
- At first select the page contents
- Click on type menu
- Click on Horizontal scale
- Choose the scale value of list
Character :- It is used to change the font, size, style, color, line spacing, character spacing and other text effects at a time.
- At first select the page contents
- Click on type menu
- Click on character
- Character windows will appear
- Choose the font, size, style as your requirement
- Finally click on ok button
Paragraph:- It is used to set the paragraph of page contents.
- At first select the page contents
- Click on type menu
- Click on paragraph
- Paragraph windows will appear
- Chose the paragraph option as your requirement
- Finally click on ok button
Alignment :- It is used to change the position of page contents.
- At first select the page contents
- Click on type menu
- Click on Alignment
- Choose the position of page contents
Define color:- It is used to create or insert the new color in color box which color make as your requirement.
- Click on Utilities menu
- Click on define color
- Define color windows will appear
- Click on new button
- Another color windows will appear
- Type the color name and drag color slider to make color
- When you make color, Click on ok button
- Finally click on ok button
Bullet and number:- It is used to insert the bullet and number style in page which bullet and number style choose as your requirement.
- At first select the page contents
- Click on Utilities menu
- Click on plug in
- Click on bullet and number
- Bullet and number windows will appear
- Choose the bullet and number style of box
- Finally click on ok button
Change case:- It is used to change page contents in different case which case option choose as your requirement.
- At first select the page contents
- Click on utilities menu
- Click on plug ins
- Click on change case
- Change case windows will appear
- Choose the change case option of box
- Finally click on ok button
Drop cap:- It is used to change the paragraph first letter in drop cap or big letter text.
- At first put cursor in paragraph line
- Click on Utilities menu
- Click on plug ins
- Click on drop cap
- Drop cap letter toolbar will appear
- Input the number of value in textbox
- Click on apply button
- Finally click on ok button
Toolbar:- To show or hide the toolbar from windows.
- Click on utilities menu
- Click on plug ins
- Choose the show or hide toolbar from list
Ruler :- To show or hide the ruler from page which is used to measure the size of designing area.
- Click on view menu
- Click on Ruler
To
insert the guide line in page
Drag the mouse from ruler area for insert the guide line
Zoom to:- It is used to display the page different zoom size which size choose as your requirement.
- Click on view menu
- Click on zoom to
- Choose the zoom size value of list
Actual size:- It is used to display the page actual size or 100%.
- Click on view menu
- Click on actual size
Fit in windows:- It is used to display the page small screen size of page.
- Click on view menu
- Click on fit in windows
Lock guides :- It is used to lock the guide line of page which is used to measure size.
- When you insert the guide line
- Click on view menu
- Click on lock guide
Clear guides :- It is used to clear the guide line of page.
- When you insert the guide line
- Click on view menu
- Click on clear guides
Scrollbar:- To show or hide the scrollbar from windows which is used to scrolling the page.Steps,
- Click on view menu
- Click on show or hide scrollbar
Template page:- It is used to open the template or deigned page according to you select.
- Click on windows menu
- Click on plug-ins palette
- Click on show template page
- A windows will appear
- Choose the design page of box
- Click on create publication
- Finally click on ok button
